Omaha man accused of driving drunk in crash that killed 10-year-old boy held on bond
The 28-year-old man accused of driving under the influence in a crash that killed a 10-year-old boy in Omaha was held on bond during a court appearance Monday.Tanner Hunt is charged with motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence and driving under the influence causing serious injury in the crash.Previous coverage: Omaha police confirm 10-year-old hurt in crash has diedThe crash happened Thursday near 114th Street and West Center Road.According to police, a Subaru Impreza was attempting to turn when it was hit by an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu. The impact of the crash ripped the Subaru in half.A 10-year-old and a 5-year-old were taken to the hospital with CPR in progress. Omaha police said the 10-year-old died from his injuries.
