Oklahoma Highway Patrol identifies driver in fatal Comanche County wreck
COMANCHE COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — The driver in a fatal crash in Comanche County early Saturday morning has been identified by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. According to the DPS preliminary report, the wreck happened just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, on Meers Porter Hill Road, about .3 miles west of Northwest Allison Road. The report said the vehicle was traveling westbound when it veered left off the roadway and struck a bridge abutment. The vehicle then continued off the road before rolling halfway and coming to a rest upside down. DPS said the driver, identified as 62-year-old Devin Miller of Lawton, was ejected, and the vehicle came to a rest on top of him. The preliminary report said Miller did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt at the time. Miller was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
