NTSB probes fatal crash involving taxi, Metrobus, minivan in Fairfax County
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has initiated an inquiry into a tragic accident in Fairfax County following the previous day's fatal crash. The incident involved a Metrobus, a taxi cab, and a minivan, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. According to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD), the collision occurred when the taxi cab rear-ended the minivan at high speed while the Metrobus was stationary at a traffic light. The driver of the taxi was pronounced dead at the crash scene, while the three occupants of the van were taken to the hospital, with two in critical condition and one expected to recover. The NTSB and FCPD are collaborating on a safety investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
