NTSB issues preliminary report on deadly Westerly plane crash

The National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report on the deadly plane crash in Westerly . According to the report, the plane was out for a post-maintenance test flight when it crashed on May 18. The pilot, identified as 21-year-old Isaac Seekell , was checking the alternator. The plane crashed as Seekell was reportedly making an emergency landing near Westerly State Airport. First responders rushed the pilot to the hospital, where he died.
