NTSB issues preliminary report on deadly Westerly plane crash
The National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report on the deadly plane crash in Westerly . According to the report, the plane was out for a post-maintenance test flight when it crashed on May 18. The pilot, identified as 21-year-old Isaac Seekell , was checking the alternator. The plane crashed as Seekell was reportedly making an emergency landing near Westerly State Airport. First responders rushed the pilot to the hospital, where he died. In the report, officials said all major components of the airplane were located at the crash site.
