No charges expected after fatal Tiny Town Road crash that killed elderly pedestrian

Heavy rain and dark clothing made a pedestrian nearly invisible to an oncoming driver, police said, and the elderly man died from his injuries after being struck in a center turn lane on Tiny Town Road. A pedestrian, described as an elderly male with diminished mental capacity, was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tiny Town Road in Clarksville. According to authorities, the man was walking in the center continuous left-turn lane near a Kroger store, not a designated pedestrian area. Heavy rain and the victim's dark clothing reduced his visibility to the driver, who was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The Clarksville Police Department's specialized fatal crash unit investigated and does not expect to file charges against the driver. The victim's name has not been released pending family notification. Anyone with information or additional video footage is urged to contact the Clarksville Police Department.
