New Orleans police investigating fatal hit-and-run crash on Danziger Bridge
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left one person dead on Friday, July 3. According to the NOPD, officers responded to a report of a person in a roadway in the 5400 block of Chef Menteur Highway around 3:54 a.m. At the scene, responding officers said they found a man lying in the westbound lanes of the Danziger Bridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene. NOPD investigators said the man had been hit by a vehicle that allegedly left the scene. Additional information was not provided.
