Multi-hour investigation after fatal crash on North Freeway
HOUSTON (CW39) – A person is dead after being hit on the North Freeway early Tuesday morning, leading to a multi-hour investigation that shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 in north Harris County. The freeway reopened at approximately 6:15 a.m.. Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck along the southbound lanes of I-45 near FM 1960. When authorities arrived, they found an individual who had been hit. EMS pronounced the person dead at the scene.
