New London police investigating fatal crash at Phillips Street, Fourth Avenue
NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — New London police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the area of Phillips Street and Fourth Avenue around noon on Tuesday. Police responded to the area at 12:02 p.m. for reports of a two-vehicle crash, where they found two drivers. One of the drivers was unresponsive at the time, while the other was alert and conscious. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment. The unresponsive driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The investigation remains active at this time.
