Mount Union man dead after vehicle accident in Franklin Co.
A Huntingdon County man is dead after a single vehicle accident in Franklin County Thursday, state police said. According to a press release, Russell Booher, 45, of Mount Union, was driving east on Buchanan Trail West in Antrim Township when he crossed the double yellow lines and struck an embankment. State police said Booher's vehicle continued through the grass, went over a cliff and struck a tree before coming to uncontrolled rest on its roof. The press release states that Booher and an 82-year-old female passenger were extracted from the vehicle by civilians at the scene. According to state police, Booher was pronounced dead at the scene and the female passenger was transported to the hospital for suspected minor injuries.
