Motorcyclist killed after Kawasaki hits guardrail, tree in Belmont County crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash July 11, 2026, on County Road 214 near County Road 30, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said a 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R was traveling west on County Road 214 when it went off the right side of the roadway while negotiating a left curve. The motorcycle struck a guardrail and a tree. The operator sustained fatal injuries, the patrol said. Troopers said the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Neff's Fire and EMS responded to the scene, and the Belmont County Sheriff's Office assisted. The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
