Motorcycle rider dies after I-35 crash, lanes reopened
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) says that southbound lanes of Interstate 35 were closed north of Pleasant Valley Road in North Kansas City after a serious crash on Thursday. MSHP says that a rider of a motorcycle was taken from the scene to a hospital with serious injuries. Later Thursday afternoon, MSHP said the rider had been pronounced dead at the hospital. Traffic was initially being diverted onto Pleasant Valley Road. Lanes reopened around 5 p.m. This is a developing story; FOX4 will provide updates as they're made available.
