Mooresville man, woman, 4 children seriously injured in rollover crash

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. — A Mooresville man, a woman and four children were seriously injured in a rollover crash on Sunday morning. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a traffic crash with injuries near the 107.5 mile marker in the northbound lanes of Interstate 69 around 7:41 a.m. Investigators believe that a 37-year-old Moorsville man was driving a 2025 Ford Explorer when the vehicle left the road, entered the median and rolled over. A 37-year-old woman and four children were also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Some of the individuals were trapped inside the Explorer until firefighters with the Monroe Fire Protection District arrived at the scene and removed them. Some of the vehicle's occupants suffered significant injuries. A child in the car was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis after crash. The rest of the car's occupants were transported IU Health Bloomington Hospital following the crash. It is not clear at this time how or why the crash occurred. The Monroe County Major Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The Explorer's driver is reportedly cooperating with investigators.
