Mississippi court says no to rehearing for woman convicted in fatal drunken driving crash

The Mississippi Court of Appeals will not grant a rehearing for Beth Ann White, who was convicted in a 2021 drunken driving crash that killed a woman and her baby son. White was convicted in 2024 of killing 39-year-old Allison Conaway and her 6-month-old son Alex in a crash at the intersection of Highway 18 and Springridge Road. Conaway's two daughters were seriously injured in the wreck. White's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit and she also had drugs in her system. White was sentenced to 100 years in prison. In February, the appeals court upheld the four aggravated DUI convictions, but dismissed a repeat offender charge because it was filed too late, after the two-year time limit.
