Milwaukee police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run Tuesday night
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Milwaukee police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a person Tuesday night on the city's near south side. The crash happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of South 22nd Street and West National Avenue. Investigators say a person was crossing the street when they were struck by a passing vehicle. The 47-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene. Police said the driver did not stop and fled the area. Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle or suspect. The crash remains under investigation.
