MetroSafe confirms 1 dead in crash on I-64 west ramp; road expected to be closed for hours
Louisville Metro Police say a person has died following a motorcycle crash on I-64 Saturday afternoon.According to LMPD, they received a call for an injury accident on the I-64 West ramp to I-264 East just after 3 p.m.Police say the motorcycle crashed into the guardrail on the ramp and that speed was a contributing factor in the crash. Officials say the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet during the crash, but was pronounced dead at the scene. The road is expected to be closed for until at least 6 p.m.
