Medical helicopter called to I-81 crash in Cumberland County
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A medical helicopter was called to a crash on I-81 in Cumberland County. A PennDOT spokesperson said in an email at 6:38 p.m. that the crash by mile marker 58.5 closed I-81 south and someone was trapped in the wreckage, but they were freed and flown by helicopter. A 511PA camera shows that traffic appears to be moving steadily. A photo from the scene shows what appears to be crews working to clear vehicle debris. Further details of the crash were not released.
