McBain man charged in fatal drunk driving crash in Chippewa County
CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A McBain man is charged in a fatal crash in Chippewa County after being released from the hospital. 46-year-old Aaron Peterson was arraigned Friday for the crash that killed a 62-year-old woman from Lake in Clare County. Peterson is charged with: Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death Operating While License Suspended Causing Death. The crash happened July 13 at 10:48 a.m. on W. Lakeshore Drive near W. Lake Street in Bay Mills Township. Police say the vehicle Peterson was driving crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another vehicle. Bond was set at $250,000 cash. Peterson is scheduled to be back in court July 27.
