Man injured in severe hit-and-run accident in Annandale.
A pedestrian in Fairfax County was injured in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Wakefield Chapel Road in Annandale. The victim, an adult male, was hospitalized in critical condition after the incident that occurred around 8 a.m. Police are searching for the driver of a dark sedan involved in the collision who fled the scene. As a result, the eastbound lanes of Little River Turnpike at Wakefield Chapel Road are currently closed. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area.
