Man driving stolen motorcycle killed in Aurora hit-and-run crash: Police

DENVER (KDVR) — A man driving a stolen motorcycle died after a crash in Aurora, and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and ditched the vehicle, according to the Aurora Police Department. The crash happened just before midnight on Saturday at the intersection of East Iliff Avenue and South Idalia Street, police said in a press release. The motorcycle was traveling west on Iliff Avenue when a Honda CR-V traveling east on Eliff made a left turn on Idalia Street and hit the motorcycle. The man driving the motorcycle and his passenger, a woman, were both taken to a hospital, where the man died, police said. The woman is in stable conditions. The Honda fled the scene, and officers later found it unoccupied. Police are still investigating the crash, but speed is considered a possible contributing factor.
