Man, child dead after rollover crash in southern Idaho
CORRECTION: Idaho State Police issued a correction Sunday afternoon stating that the 38-year-old man was the driver in Saturday's fatal rollover crash. ATLANTA, Idaho (ABC4) -- Two are dead after a rollover crash in Boise County, Idaho, on Saturday, according to Idaho State Police. At around 2 p.m. on March 7, a family of four was heading north on Arrowrock Road in a GMC truck. Near mile marker 19, the driver of the vehicle -- a 38-year-old man -- swerved to go around a vehicle, police said. The truck "got close to the edge of the road" and rolled into the water, a press release from Idaho State Police states. Two of the passengers, a 35-year-old woman and one child, were able to get out of the truck and were later taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver -- a 38-year-old man -- and a second child died at the scene. All four family members were wearing their seatbelts, police said. The Boise County Sheriff's Office also responded to this incident. The crash remains under investigation. The identities of the victims have not been released. No further information is available at this time.
