Man charged with murder after fatal crash in Fresno County
A man from Reedley, identified as Daniel Lemus, is facing murder charges after a fatal DUI crash in Fresno County. The Fresno County District Attorney's Office stated that Lemus was involved in a collision that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy, Christian Crabb, while driving under the influence of alcohol. This isn't the first deadly DUI incident involving Lemus, as he was previously convicted in 2019 for a similar offense. Lemus was observed rear-ending a vehicle at a red light before fleeing the scene and crashing into a Ford Mustang driven by Christian Crabb. The investigations revealed Lemus was intoxicated during both collisions. Consequently, Lemus faces severe legal consequences, including a maximum sentence of fifteen years to life in prison. Lemus was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol and is currently detained at the Fresno County Jail.
