Male body found by family near I-44 days after crash
OKLAHOMA COUNTY (KFOR) — A metro family is searching for answers after they found their loved one's body near the highway, just days after a car crash. The family of 39-year-old Cesar Fierro Rodriguez is trying to piece together what happened after finding his body in a wooded area Saturday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol told News 4 they rushed to a single-car accident on I-44 Thursday, between Midwest Blvd., and Douglas Rd. Troopers say a truck was going eastbound when the driver hit the center wall. After arriving at the scene, the OHP says the driver was not cooperating with emergency medical services and ran into the woods. Authorities tell us they searched for several hours Thursday, unable to find him. On Friday, his family sent our newsroom an email, saying Cesar was still missing. On Saturday, they came together to look for him, and they found his body on a property near Midwest Blvd. The family told News 4 they are still trying to understand what happened. News 4 has requested the accident report and body camera footage related to the incident.
