Major delays expected after 3-vehicle wreck on I-83 in York County, Pa.
One person was injured after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 in York County, according to the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company. Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8 Today. The collision happened in the southbound lanes in Shrewsbury Township near Exit 4, Shrewsbury/Route 851, around 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday. A blue sedan was crushed with extensive damage to the rear. The fire company said one person was transported to the hospital. A red sedan and an SUV were also damaged in the crash. The crash blocked the Exit 4 southbound on-ramp and multiple lanes of the interstate. Traffic slowly moved through the crash scene using one lane, leading to extensive delays.The scene has since cleared, and all lanes have reopened. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
