Indiana State Police investigating fatal crash on Interstate 65 in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Jackson County. According to a notification from the Indiana Department of Transportation, a crash occurred on Interstate 65 near Seymour sometime before 6:03 p.m. Saturday. INDOT reported that all lanes of I-65 northbound were shut down at mile marker 51 after the crash occurred. First responders closed I-65 in both directions around 7:02 p.m., about an hour after the crash was first reported. INDOT's notification identified Indiana State Police as the agency investigating the crash. ISP has confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash. State police reported that a semi was involved in the crash. A medical helicopter was called to the crash scene, per ISP.
