Impairment, speed suspected in deadly crash near Washington and Bruce
The driver of a pickup truck is dead after a collision with a Ford Mustang early Saturday, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. LVMPD communications center received calls just after 5:30 a.m. reporting a motor vehicle collision near Washington Avenue and Bruce Street. Police said the driver of the truck was pronounced dead. The driver and a passenger in the Ford Mustang were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Impairment and speed are suspected as contributing factors, police said. Motorists were advised to avoid the area for the next several hours while traffic investigators continued their investigation.
