I-79 north shut down in Harrison County due to vehicle accident
LOST CREEK, W.Va. (WBOY) — A vehicle accident in Harrison County has shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 79. Information is limited at this time, but according to the Harrison County 911 Log, the accident occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. Friday evening. The West Virginia 511 website shows that the accident took place near the 108.5 mile marker and states that the northbound are closed. A Harrison County 911 official told 12 News that the vehicles involved were a semi-truck and a passenger car. One injury has been reported but no transports have been made at this time. The Anmoore, Lost Creek, Stonewood and Jane Lew fire departments, along with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office and the West Virginia Division of Highways, all responded to this incident.
