Huntington woman dies after being hit by a car on I-64 in Cabell County

A Huntington woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 64 in Cabell County. West Virginia State Police responded Wednesday evening to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on I-64 west near mile marker 14. When troopers arrived, they found Kristy L. Manley, 36, of Huntington, in the roadway and began performing CPR until Cabell County EMS personnel arrived. Troopers said Manley had been struck by a vehicle driven by David J. Kennison, 61, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. According to state police, Kennison remained at the scene and administered CPR before troopers arrived. Manley was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The investigation remains ongoing.
