Driver arrested on DUI after crash sent a motorcyclist to the hospital
A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after a car pulled in front of the rider on Saturday night. Visalia Police Officers responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at Walnut Avenue and Giddings Street a bit before 10 p.m. Officers determined the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Walnut Avenue and turned north into the Best Buy parking lot, directly into the path of a westbound motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the vehicle. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
