Highway shutdown in West Valley due to motorcycle accident
On Sunday afternoon, a motorcycle accident on SR 201 resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes due to a rider sustaining critical injuries. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the incident took place close to 5600 West and involved only one motorcycle. Emergency services rushed the injured rider to a nearby hospital. Troopers are currently at the scene carrying out their inquiries. The road closure lasted around an hour before traffic could resume as normal.
