Ford driver thrown from truck in fatal accident

The Crash Investigation Unit of the Shreveport Police Department is currently looking into a tragic accident involving a Ford pickup truck and a Nissan Sentra that occurred on January 8, 2026, at the 6200 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Sadly, one male lost his life in the collision. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an unconscious white male lying on the road. Based on initial findings, it was determined that the driver of the pickup, identified as Jimmie Frank Haynes, was thrown out of the vehicle during the incident. Despite being taken to a local hospital, Haynes later succumbed to his severe injuries. At present, no one has been cited in relation to this event, and the investigation is still ongoing.
