Driver accused in fatal DUI crash that killed motorcyclist appears in court
A man accused of driving under the influence and causing a crash that killed a 23-year-old motorcyclist over the weekend appeared in court Wedenesday morning. Danny Simpkins was arrested after a crash on July 19 at Serene and Spencer . Police said the motorcycle was going through the intersection when Simpkins’ vehicle made a turn against a red light and hit the motorcycle. The motorcyclist died at the scene. Simpkins’ preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 19.
