Fire truck responding to crash involving Mass. State Police cruiser struck by vehicle on Route 24
A fire truck that was responding to a report of a crash involving a Massachusetts State Trooper and a deer early Tuesday was struck by a vehicle in West Bridgewater, police said.The cruiser struck the deer on Route 24 just after 2:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway near Routes 106 and 104.Info: Check trafficThe West Bridgewater Fire Department responded, and a vehicle struck the responding fire truck, police said. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Boston Medical Center South.Video from the scene showed the damaged fire truck and another vehicle being towed from the scene.One lane of travel was shut down for a few hours.The crash remains under investigation.
