Fiery crash leaves one dead: OSHP
TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- One person died after a fiery crash in Bristol Township Tuesday evening. According to investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just after 8 p.m. on June 9, on Oakfield North Road NW near Mahan Denman Road NW. The driver of a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze was going south when it went off the side of the road and struck a ditch. The vehicle caught fire and the driver was trapped inside, according to OSHP. "Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene," a news release from OSHP said. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, has not been identified. Investigators said alcohol and/or drugs are suspected to be factors in the crash. It remains under investigation.
