Fatal single-car accident in Hilo takes man's life.
A man has tragically lost his life in Hilo due to a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the early hours of Jan. 29. The incident took place on Pauahi Street near Piopio Street, where the driver, traveling at high speed, lost control of his two-door sedan. Subsequently, the vehicle struck a metal railing on the Pauahi Street bridge. Despite efforts by emergency responders, the driver was declared deceased at the scene. An investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
