Fatal head-on collision involving semi-trucks near Streeter
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision involving two semi-trucks near Streeter early Wednesday. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on December 24, on Highway 30, when a 2026 International truck pulling a semi-trailer was traveling north and collided with a 2025 Kenworth truck pulling a double trailer heading south near mile marker 22, approximately three miles south of Streeter. The drivers of the trucks, a 54-year-old man from Wishek and a 39-year-old man from Moorhead, were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the International, a 41-year-old man from East Grand Forks, Minnesota, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. The road closure lasted for about six hours before reopening, as the North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
