Fatal crash on Maynardville Pike under investigation by THP
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A fatal crash that occurred along Maynardville Pike in Knox County is under investigation. Rural Metro Fire announced just after 6 p.m. that law enforcement agencies were at the scene of a fatal crash on Maynardville Pike near the county line. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation SmartWay traffic map, northbound lanes near Old Maynardville Pike are closed. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
