Fatal crash in northern Minnesota: 2 dead, 2 injured
Tragic road accident in Thompson Township, Minnesota on Friday morning resulted in the loss of a man and woman and injuries to a 1-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man after a collision between a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a Chevrolet Impala. Authorities responded to the crash at the intersection of East Stark Road and Canosia Road just after 9:02 a.m. The pickup truck and car were discovered in a ditch near the intersection. Identified victims include the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet, 57-year-old Anthony Drake and 57-year-old Tammy Drake, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The 1-year-old child and the 32-year-old man from Thompson Township in the pickup were hospitalized for treatment. The severity of their injuries is not yet known. Authorities have ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor in the accident. Thompson Township is located approximately 141 miles northeast of Minneapolis.
