Fatal crash in McKenzie County claims life of 63-year-old woman
MCKENZIE COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — A 63-year-old Watford City woman has died following a crash in McKenzie County. According to the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened April 25, at approximately 1:33 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 85 and 23rd Street Northwest, about one mile south of Watford City. A 2017 Peterbilt semi, driven by a 62-year-old man from Dickinson, was traveling southbound on Highway 85. As a 1983 Jeep CJ-7, driven by the Watford City woman, was traveling eastbound on 23rd Street Northwest it was struck by the semi in a T-bone collision. The driver of the Jeep sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the semi was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota State Patrol.
