Fatal crash in Hamilton County claims life of Florida woman
HAMILTON COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) - A single-vehicle crash in Hamilton County claimed the life of a Florida woman in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Texas DPS Troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on FM 1241, just south of CR 401 at approximately 12:46 a.m. Saturday morning. Upon their initial investigation, troopers found that the driver, 36-year-old Wendy Ann Lowery of Panama City Beach, Florida, for unknown reasons, traveled off the roadway into a drainage ditch. Her Lexus ES300 passenger vehicle then struck a fence and rolled over. Lowery was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
