Fatal crash in Fresno County orchard
A man tragically lost his life on Christmas morning after his vehicle collided with a tree in a Fresno County orchard, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. on Henderson Avenue, located between Floral Avenue and Rose Avenue in an unincorporated area of the county. Initial findings suggest that the man was driving north on Henderson Avenue when he encountered standing water on the road, leading to a loss of control. The vehicle veered off the road in a northwesterly direction, ultimately crashing into a tree in an adjacent orchard. The impact caused significant damage to the car. Sadly, the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate this incident.
