Fatal crash at 60th and Vliet in Milwaukee
A tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning at 60th and Vliet in Milwaukee, where a man was declared deceased at the scene. The incident took place around 11:50 a.m. According to the Wauwatosa Police Department, a SUV was traveling west on Vliet Street at a high speed and ran a red light, resulting in a collision with another vehicle and a tree. The driver, a 71-year-old Milwaukee man who was the only person in the SUV, was fatally injured in the crash. Emergency responders from Wauwatosa Fire Department, Milwaukee Fire Department, and Milwaukee Police Department were involved in the response efforts. The municipal boundary between Milwaukee and Wauwatosa lies at 60th Street on Vliet Street. Wauwatosa police are currently investigating the crash, with support from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
