Fatal car crash claims lives of police and prison officers in Namibia
A tragic road accident in Namibia's south-central region resulted in the loss of eleven members of the Namibia Correctional Service, a police officer, and two civilians. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed condolences to the families affected by the collision on the B1 highway near Mariental, located 268 kilometers from Windhoek. The accident involved two vehicles, a police van carrying five officers and one civilian, and a Namibian correctional service van with thirteen occupants. Three victims sustained critical injuries and are currently receiving medical care. President Nandi-Ndaitwah extended sympathies to the mourning colleagues and emphasized the profound impact of this tragedy.
