Fatal accident shuts down northbound Legacy Highway in Davis County
Early Wednesday morning, a tragic incident resulted in the closure of northbound Legacy Highway near 500 South in Davis County as Utah Highway Patrol conducted an investigation into a fatal collision. A woman in her mid-30s lost her life after being struck on the highway, leading to the closure of northbound lanes during the investigation. Traffic was redirected to northbound Interstate 215. Sergeant Mike Alexander of UHP indicated that the incident is believed to have been a suicide involving the woman who was walking on the freeway and the vehicle that hit her.
