Fatal accident on I-94 in St. Clair Shores
A fatal crash in St. Clair Shores led to the closure of a section of Interstate 94 in Metro Detroit for approximately five hours early Wednesday. The incident occurred on eastbound I-94, just north of Eight Mile Road, when a SUV hit a tree and caught fire, resulting in one fatality. Emergency responders, including the St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Department, as well as the assistance of Michigan State Police, handled the scene. Traffic advisories were issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation until the highway was reopened.
