Fatal accident near Cascade.
A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, just south of the town of Cascade along I-15, resulting in the death of a 43-year-old man from Helena. The unfortunate incident took place around 9:30 p.m. near mile marker 254. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving northbound on I-15 and lost control of his Dodge pickup truck while negotiating a left-hand curve. The vehicle hit a guardrail and then veered to the median where it rolled into the southbound lanes. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle upon impact and unfortunately passed away at the scene. It has been determined that alcohol or drugs were not contributing factors to the crash, and road conditions were clear and dry. The man's identity has not been disclosed, and he was the sole occupant of the truck.
