Farmington woman killed in motorcycle crash
Marcellus, N.Y. — A woman from Ontario County was killed in a crash Sunday in Central New York. Police said a northbound vehicle on Slate Hill Road in Marcellus, Onondaga County stopped at the intersection with U.S. Route 20 but then failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound motorcycle, resulting in a collision around 10:10 a.m. The motorcyclist and his passenger were ejected and later taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, according to police. The passenger, 55-year-old Karyn Stratton, died from her injuries. The operator, 55-year-old Bruce Stratton, remained hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the other driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
