Delays are increasing following a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 283 in Lancaster County, according to emergency dispatchers. The two-vehicle collision happened in the eastbound lanes in East Hempfield Township just before 6 a.m. The scene is between the Spooky Nook Road exit and the Landisville/Route 722 exit. Dispatchers said EMS was called to the scene. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time. A photo from the scene shows a tractor-trailer rolled over in the grass. The crash is blocking traffic on Route 283 eastbound, causing an extensive backlog. Drivers are reminded to be alert and use caution in the area.
