Eight-vehicle crash on southbound I-15 north of I-215 closes lanes, sends two to hospital
A chain-reaction crash involving eight vehicles, including a semi-tractor/trailer, snarled traffic on southbound I-15 just north of I-215 after the Nevada Highway Patrol responded at 10:08 a.m. The collision was reported as a multiple-vehicle personal injury crash. Multiple EMS crews arrived at the scene, where one vehicle ended up on top of another. Two people were transported from the crash, including the driver of the semi, authorities said. Several travel lanes are closed during the investigation, though the No. 1 travel lane was expected to remain open. The collector-distributor from southbound Russell is closed for access to both I-215 and I-15. Tows are en route, and Nevada State Police said it is unknown when all travel lanes would reopen. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
