Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on I-8 in El Cajon
(FOX 5/KUSI) — The driver of a vehicle involved in a rollover crash on I-8 in El Cajon died of their injuries. A California Highway Patrol representative confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI that the driver died due to the crash, which happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Highway 67. The crash comes on a particularly rainy morning across San Diego County, where an overnight storm brought rainfall for several hours. A representative with Heartland Fire said two slow lanes were closed off after the crash. The agency said crews were working to extricate the driver.
