Driver from Salem faces manslaughter charge for fatal crash involving tow truck
A tragic incident in Salem resulted in the death of a passenger after a vehicle driven by Karlie Dolan collided with a tow truck. The crash took place early Saturday on Lancaster Drive NE. The driver, 33-year-old Dolan, was traveling northbound when the accident occurred. The passenger, 51-year-old Trisha Hopkins, lost her life in the crash. Following the incident, Dolan was found to have a blood alcohol level over three times the legal limit, leading to her arrest on charges that include DUII, reckless driving, reckless endangering, and second-degree manslaughter. This incident is the 11th fatal crash in Salem in 2025 according to the police.
